Are you trying to remove it completely from your device? I'm not sure you can do that. If you want to switch it off, it's in the Privacy and Security settings.

In the settings (battery) you can see if the user has used private browsing. Bit of a bug if you asked me.

Well, if you're worried about someone seeing what you're doing, you have a couple of choices. Lock your device or quit looking at that stuff.

That's a bit like the chicken and the egg story. So I will say, why do you use private browsing if you can use a lock or not look at that stuff

If you use private browsing, you want to be private. Also if you used private browsing for some good reason and someone checks you battery use (or you are showing off your device) and they see private browsing, you know what they think.

I am not bothered about keeping the privacy settings, but since the last update, the browser menu now has the 'open in new tab' control off the screen when in landscape mode.
I use this feature a lot, so it is driving me nuts having to scroll every time.
If I could re-arrange the menu or get rid of some of the controls I don't use, it would stop me grinding my teeth so often!

What? Private browsing is intended as a way to avoid cookies being stored and search terms coming up. I use it to access my bank or sensitive information for example

They can't check your battery usage if the device is locked in the first place...

On BES you can always check battery usage and an i.t. Rep troubleshooting battery life will access device monitor see running or has run apps. Personal as such a person I could care less, it's that users business. Let's stop derailing the topic of the thread guys. Is there a build with it removed?

That is exactly what I'm saying . You don't need private browsing cause your device is locked in the first place. (it's sarcastic)

It doesn't matter to me, because nobody checks my device. But I find it a bit unnecessary to split browser and private browser in the battery usage.

For the real question if you can remove private browsing, I don't thinks so because it's build in the browser.

They are separate Apps, they didn't split anything; not sure why people are complaining really.

And it's a tad obvious, the browser minimises and another App with its own Active Frame opens

So they didn't split anything, but they are separate. Sounds split to me. Still it doesn't matter to me, I like the new way of opening the private browser in a new frame. I just don't get the point of having private browsing showing in the battery usage part. But h I guess I'm the only one who uses private browsing for porn.
