    Okay so i traded a blackberry with someone here on the market. When i purchased an unlock code first from gsm liberty..I entered it and it simply didn't work.... So then i decided to buy an unlock directly from the carrier and got the EXACT SAME UNLOCK CODE. which still did not work.

    Does anyone here might have a clue or a solution as im desperate to get this thing unlock and there are only 2 unlock attempts left. Thanks.

    Why are there only two tries left? Were they used by you or former owner?

    That aside, which carrier is the phone branded to?

    There are only 2 tried because i was checking if the code was well written and they gave me a shorter version of the code (one was like 12 characters and one was 6) ...And the former owner tried unlocking it 2 times...Its currently Locked with Telus Canada.

    You have to get your carrier to get a code from BlackBerry. At least that's digging happened with me.

    I originally got a unlocking code no go. Then my carrier Bell tried and no go! They need to contact BlackBerry with your phones I'd and then BlackBerry will send a new code.

    Good luck it took me awhile to receive the new code but it did work.

    So i should go to telus and get them to call blackberry on the spot to get a new code?

    I just called them I never went to Bell. Might be easier on the phone.

    I didn't personally contact BlackBerry. I contacted my service provider unlocking department and they contacted them.

    Although they had said BlackBerry would call me back within 2 weeks time or something like that nobody called me. I'm guessing that guy got laid off. Poor guy. I had to call back myself my service provider and then after a few days my service provider called me back with a new code.

    Needless to say I had gone on my vacation and returned by then. Definitely wasn't a happy camper.

    End of the day, Got in touch with blackberry gave me a new unlock and now my z10 works. Thanks all
