I dropped my Z10 phone and damaged one of the battery contact pins. And now, it won't turn on.

Has anyone replaced the battery contact pins?

Wow, that's a great question. How about checking with a repair center? or even a kiosk that specializes in other brand phones?

So the pin in question is snapped off, bent or something? I would think some sort of soldering job would be able to get the battery connection fixed good enough to at least power the phone, if that is the only thing wrong after the dropping. Seems kind of odd that a pin would get bent/broken from dropping. That's a fairly small piece in there. You sure the problem isn't something else?

I ended up getting a semi-new Z10 off of Amazon. Repair places told me it would cost more to repair (new motherboard etc) and its better to just scrap it.

Funny thing though. Everyone at the local Verizon place gathered around the phone when I went in to reactive it, like it's a some fossilized remains they haven't seen before lol!

Take your handy soldering iron and build-up a make shift nub on the stub of the old pin until it is long enough to contact the battery.
