Hey can someone tell me if it'd possible to stop getting bbm contact updates? I don't need to see all my friends status and picture updates. On my 9900 I was able to turn that off.

Go the the bbm updates screen, do a long hold on the persons update, when the menu pops up on the right you press the button on the bottom to hide the updates from that person.

Zombie, swipe down in BBM, settings, scroll to blocked contacts, go updates and deselect the person.

Guys, it's quite easy to disable BBM contacts update, just go to updates long press on the contact update that you to disable a menu bar on the right side will appears and select disable contact update :-)

I have BBM8.0 on a 9790 - I dont have that facility. No matter how long I hold the contact, no menu pops up to hide updates. In fact I'd like to permanently disable all updates from showing. When I go into OPTIONS under BBM and go to the RECENT UPDATES section, there is ONLY one option to check or uncheck "Display Music Updates From Contacts:" and it is unchecked. I am not only referring to Music Updates. I want ALL updates from ALL contacts permanently disabled from BBM.
Please help and advise.
