With calling out the screen dims like it's about to complete the task, then sticks there for a couple seconds before actually dialing out and opening the call.

With incoming calls when I swipe left to answer, the bar sticks at the left and freezes for a couple seconds before opening the call.

Is anyone else experiencing this? I know a two second delay doesn't seem like a big deal, but it's super annoying when you're trying to call/answer on the go.

Hoping this is fixed soon - to clarify the outgoing call process, my screen dims, then goes back bright again, making me think the task wasn't initiated, THEN finally connects and calls.

Total time is about 3-4 seconds and it is definitely annoying.

Fix asap!!

Exact same thing here..Sigh this update sucks large..Now suddenly I have no access to text messages but bbm woks fine??? WTF BB.. Went from a bullet proof phone to a giant POS in minutes

Yes sometimes people look at me wondering how come the phone's on my ears when I haven't picked up the call yet! Lolx

My device is Z10 STL100-1. I have the same problem. After update to 10.3.1.1581 when the phone rings I answer the phone by swipe to green phone continue to vibrate and rings once more, by the way the caller hears a weard sound and than its possible to speak. SOLUTION?????

Yes, me too. Showed up in one of the early 10.3.1 builds. Annoying, but I consider it minor. Overall, 10.3.1 has been just fine for me.

I recently upgraded to 10.3.1.1565 on my z10.
I like the new features and layout. Though it's not as fluid and the call delay is really annoying, it's a phone after all!!!

Huh? In actuality 10.3 has been leaked for MANY months, since Sep 2014 around the Passport release date if I'm not mistaken.

How they could miss this significant bug for something as primary as calling, on a platform who's last claim to fame is superior communication, having been leaked and basically beta tested and reviewed by tens of thousands of those installing the leaks (in addition to their official in-house people)... I'm at a complete loss.

What's next? BES gets hacked?

Please fix this effing problem, it is now a serious issue EVERY SINGLE TIME I have to either place or accept a call. Multiple second delay resembling freeze and/or lag with the dialer.

I am very frustrated user of 10.3.1 on my z10.

Ahhh gotcha, missed the sarcasm there

I'm ok to forgo the fluid 3rd party app experience but I am NOT ok to compromise on any hiccups with the communication experience!

I know the 'official' 10.3 is still brand new and I'm hoping this is fixed promptly, just super frustrated such an obvious glitch would be overlooked given how long 10.3 has been leaked for.

I'm typically hesitant to install leaks and was so with 10.3 as my zed is my daily driver and I can't afford a buggy experience...I think in the future I'll care less.

PLEASE fix asap!

Make sure your Vibrate setting is turned off. I tested mine when I read your posting and mine was lying on a granite countertop. I dialled my phone from our landline and the Z10 rang and vibrated, actually rang and groaned! I then looked at my Settings and saw that both sound and vibrate was On. So turn Vibrate off. I re-called my Z10 and the BlackBerry Z10 behaved normally, ringing without the vibrate or "groan".

I noticed the slight dimming on answering a call, who knows why that is, really it is not a problem, it answers fast enough.

I already replied and posted a reminder to turn Vibrate off, then when you answer an incoming call it doesn't ring and vibrate both... I have noticed that when loading a new Update, one has to go back into Settings and make sure they are what you want, they seem to arrive in a way that is not entirely what the user might choose, so do check them all... I really like this Update 10.3, and find it fast and very easy to follow directions, or perform a function, really powerful.

Same thing on mine Z10STL100-3/10.3.1.2267. Driving me nuts. I have missed a few calls because it takes so long for the phone to actually answer. As for outgoing, I have the same issue and I end up waiting. This, along with the annoying skipping effect when I turn music volume up or down are very irritating.

Hubby says his Passport has a similar delay though not as bad as mine is.

I fixed this by re-installing just the bar for the phone app

It's called sys.phone.bar. When you download it with sachesi it has a different file name once on your computer, but that's what it's called when you first search through the bars in the sachesi program.

reloaded that bar with sachesi and now the phone app works as it did previous. No lag and with vibrate on it answers instantly. I tested multiple times using my BlackBerry and my work phone hand in hand.

The second the work phone dialed and rang the BlackBerry rang. The second I answered the BlackBerry and talked I heard myself on the work phone. This works whether I'm calling to or from the blackberry and with the normal profile with vibration enabled.

Boom. Done.
