    Weird.. in degrees it gives me the same answer, but in radians it gives me 0.
    I just tried it on my trusty math calculator and I actually get the same exact results. I'm a little confused.

    Like other people have mentioned here, you need to be in radians mode, sin(2*pi) is basically sin(360) in degree mode, since pi = 180 degrees.

    But wouldn't P(x,y) be (1,0) at sin(2pi)? I just finished my precalculus courses and am moving on to calculus, so I'm simply trying to figure this out for myself if someone is willing to shed some brief light on the matter.

    0 radians = 0 degrees = 0 gradians
    Pi radians = 180 degrees = 200 gradians
    2*Pi radians = 360 degrees = 400 gradians

    Sin(n*pi radians) = sin(n*180 degrees) = sin(n*200 gradians)

    You have to be in the right mode, using the right unit.

    Wow seems a slow morning for me. Obviously 2pi is a radian measure, so you will get the correct answer if you enter the calculator in radian mode. 2pi is 360 degrees so in degree measure, it will also show 0. Etc etc.

    The OP obviously never used a calculator to calculate angles... and probably doesn't understand what he's doing when doing sin(2*pi).

    You're clearly in [deg] mode, as, numerically, 2*Pi is approx 6.2831. Thus, sin(6.2831 [deg]) is approx 0.1094. As you know, 2Pi [rad] is equivalent to zero deg, meaning that sin(0[deg]) should calculate out to zero. Once you put it in [rad] mode, sin(2Pi [rad]) will equal zero.

    The calculator is not a "little" wrong. It's very "right". It did EXACTLY what you (maybe inadvertantly) told it to do. Happens to the best of us...

    Guys, the math statement written above i interpreted by the computer as sin(2*"value of pi") or sin(6.28... degrees!) if you want the result to be 0 you need to switch the calculation mode to radians...
