I don't know if anyone else is having this problem but half the time I open the calculator it won't work. To get it working again I have to close the active frame and them re launch it and it works fine like nothing happened, anyone else having this issue?

I have also experienced this. I've also been having trouble adding events to my calendar. Getting kicked out after I try and select a start time.

Odd I would like to know what's causing it as I use it a lot and it's driving me nuts. To be clear when I open it it will launch but not respond to any input at all until I close the process and then launch it again and then it will work lime nothing happened.

It's not a huge deal hut definitely something I would like to see fixed so I thought u would bring it up.

I'm a businessman my friends are business ppl so needless to say we use the calculator functions on our phones a lot so it's hard when everyone is asking me about my new z10 and I'm telling them to leave their iPhone for it and the calculator locks up to prove my point.

Maybe you don't have enough ram available to open the app?

That's usually the problem when you try to open an app or card and it fails.

Hmm I originally said I had never had this happen but now it just did.

It happened when I opened the calculator immediately as I closed another app. Maybe the other app that was closing uses some of the same processes?

When I swiped down from the top to select tip mode and then switched back to standard it then worked.

It can't or shouldn't be a ram issue as I actually close all my active tabs as I'm done with them so technically I have no apps running besides the os

And it doesn't happen right after you close other apps?

Nope I always close all my apps before I even lock my screen and as I unlock it the calculator would usually be the first thing I go to so no open processes be for the cculstor.is launched

Oh OK it was just an idea since that is when it happened for me. Oh well hopefully it will be fixed soon built in apps shouldn't have these kinds of issues.

That was my concern. Good looking out though it's import and as early adopters we look for hugs and try to replicate them so blackberry knows what's going on.

I actually posted about this in another thread about a week ago but I didn't bother making a thread about it as no one else seemed to have the issue.

Basically the bug is if you try to use the calculator immediately after launching it the input will lock out for some reason. You need to wait about 2 seconds after launching the app before touching the calculator. If you do this then it will work fine.

Strangely enough I can't seem to replicate this issue anymore. I just tried launched the calculator app about 10 times just now trying to get it to do this (which was easy to do a week ago) and it wouldn't happen. Maybe it is caused by the initial lag/heating/poor battery issues with new Z10s before they settle down.

Did you do a recent upgrade (maybe that 6mb upgrade to latest firmware?) or...could have been a restart that solved the problem?
