So basically here is the gig. Have had a z10 since it's inception. Moving up to the passport in one month. Should I just use Link and do a 'new phone' migration via Link, or should I back up my phone, then do a full "restore" into the Passport?

This worries me as I dont want to carry over the older OS my Z10 uses on the ATT network, and any corruptions that might be associated with it.

I personally would set up like new, use a app like back up pro to save stuff to your s/d card and transfer that way, all your apps will be in BBW so just re-down load ,

Yes I didn't say not to, I said I would do another way. If you comfortable with that method go ahead.

But you did say you didn't want to transfer any bugs or such as so I thought you wanted people's opinion.

So what is actually migrated using the Link tool? Is EVERYTHING migrated, similar to a full backup/restore? Or will certain things not find their way over?

Will calendar, emails/accounts, applications, browser history/favorites etc come over?

I'm a little disappointed in how the z10 support has dwindled so much as opposed to when it first came out. If you have a blackberry and don't use Link, you see foolish.

As a follow-up. I used the Link "new device" migrator tool and darn near every single thing came over. Custom dictionary and auto correct words. Browser history. Literally everything came over. Very easy to use and very effective.
