Hey guys, I have a issue with my phone. I'm a pretty heavy user, get a lot of calls, emails, messages etc.. After a few hours my phone goes silent. I will get no sounds for the notifications. I have to restart the phone before I get the sounds back, but that's just a temporary fix before it happens again.

Is anyone else having this same issue?

Yes. I have had this happen as well as going to "Normal" mode on its own as well.

I have found this and a few other switches that go on and off by themselves as well...

Happens to me as well. I'm sure it will be addressed in a update soon enough.

This has been happening to me once a day since I got my z10, usually after 6hrs or so of use. All notifications just go silent and I have to restart phone to get any sound back. They really need to address this in an update along with the backup issues with blackberry link

It has nothing to do with besside mode, the phone is buggy, it has happened to me twice. I had to pull the battery each time to fix it. Does anyone have problems not receiving notifications of text, BBM and email when on a call.

With BB10, you don't need to do a battery pull. Just press and hold the top power button. It gives you and option to restart, same as a battery pull.

My phone went silent also, but I realized later it was because I was playing with the volume keys. When you hit volume down, after you get to mute, one more press will make it silent. You'll get a vibration when you do it. To go back to normal, one press of the volume up key and you'll be back (a vibration will signal it again.)

Maybe that was what was happening to you, I don't know, but I think that's what happened to me, since it hasn't happened since I noticed the volume key trick.

Mine is not so much the sound profile, but, as was mentioned above, other switches turning off on their own - like in the Hub management where you choose which accounts are visible or not. I'm actually rebooting right now, as my Gmail account switch would just not stay on!

Haven't experienced issues like these. I'll pay more attention to my notifications though. I use bedside mode daily.

I'm in this boat now too. It's happened to me three times in 24hours.

I'm thinking about re-installing the OS

I've had this problem too. My phone won't ring even in normal profile. I did a battery pull to fix. It has happened a few times. Including when I went from a blue tooth connection

Just started happening to my phone tonight. Twice in the past 2 hours, to be exact. I wasn't even using the phone...like others mentioned, restarting the phone will fix it.

Count me in. At first I just figured I must been away from the phone and simply did not catch the ring. But I've come to realize that it simply does not ring.

Rebooted my phone. Volume still locked. AWESOME. makes me so happy that I just spent $700 on this. (and don't even get me going on my inability to create new sound profiles.... just normal or silent or calls only??)

Same issue here, caused me some serious trouble with my wife as the phone remained dead silent even for PING!s which wasn't cool.

I have been using Passport for 2 weeks and i Installed Call Recorder. When Installed it i realized the incoming calls are silent, then silences even if you are in the normal mode.

For those of you, using Passport with Call Recorder, Just Uninstall Call Recorder.

    hope this works
