Then it sounds like they didn't set it up properly.

At the Tims I use even if I use the Tims card I swipe it on the machine not them.

You can add money via CC. You first have to add a CC at Tim's website when you register the app and Tim's card.

Nice tech, bit I don't understand why people like to keep money on a tim card for themselves. I pay by tapping my Mastercard just as quickly but don't need to maintain a separate card. I tap with my same Mastercard at many different chains. No need to loan money to timmies by paying in advance for things or reload cards from every food chain I may go to.

Having said all that I still find myself wanting to do it just to play with the tech.

I'm the recipient of at least 3 tim's cards a year for sundry reasons so it's nice to have a readily available option to amalgamate them all and nor necessarily worry about where they are at any given time.

Makes sense but why do people keep cards for themselves and refill them? Never understood that.

If you have the. 1055 or. 1259 leak loaded up you can install the android Starbucks app. MAKE is sweet too, only problem is you can't see your balance and have to track your own stars.

Yeah, most of the employees have no idea how it works. Ended up asking one of the cashiers who got it to work how they did it. You have to say you are paying by Tim's card, of you say tap paying the will assume you mean credit card tap...which doesn't work. Finally blowing through this Tim's gift card.

I used the MAKE app the other day. It works good to pay, but agree, wish it was more full featured, but it is a third party app so considering that, it is ecellent.

Bought a coffee and breakfast sandwich from Timmy's inside Metro grocery store in Cambridge. Cashier had no idea what I was talking about but when the transaction went through she was stunned...lol. Perrrrrrfect. :-)
