I know they have a lot on their plate & they do a great job but if a thread gets out of control & this thread most likely will as well, they should step in & either close them or take control of it.

I said this in the other thread, and will say it again.

Saying that something IS or IS NOT mandatory is not something that can actually be said. Remember, these are SMART PHONES. The PHONE part is obviously completed, and the SMART side is done through internet connection and access to much more than a simple phone. YOU, PERSONALLY, may or may not want certain apps on the device... but that does not make them mandatory, and it certainly does not make anyone else wrong for saying that THEY BELIEVE those apps are mandatory. This is all a MATTER OF OPINION and people are starting flame wars based on these things. RELAX.

I personally do not use Netflix on phones. I have it installed on my iphone for almost 3 years and used it the very first day and never again. I do however fully understand that the Z10 is a different situation because of the HDMI port and the fact that anything on the Z10 screen can be put onto a tv very easily. In the same way I have also had skype on my iPhone for the same amount of time and have used it a total of probably 1 hour in those 3 years. But i know people that use it daily. I, PERSONALLY, do not WANT, (remember we are talking about wants and not needs) those two apps, but i will argue that they are important to the phones survival.

RELAX, take some breathes... use the hundreds and thousands of amazing apps and features that the Z10 has, and browse the internet to your hearts content... you will get these apps soon.

LOL, I'm not going to get into the whole argument about why or why not an app should be mandatory.

But just going to say that if Foursquare can be a mandatory app, I don't think it's too unreasonable for people to wish/want/ask for an app like Skype to be mandatory.
