    Can anyone tell me if it is possible to modify the icons on the bottom bar ie change the camera icon to another shortcut?

    No it isn't.

    That's why I've buried the Phone and Camera app icons in folders, since they're redundant.

    Using the BBM icon does grant easy access to things like contact updates and group pictures, compared to Hub access.
