After upgrading my OS to 10.2.1.2141 every time I boot(Even with hard boot) my phone it takes upto 10 minutes! And sometimes it doesn't boot at all! Sometimes after it successfully boots the led indicator goes crazy blinking multiple times even with WIFI and mobile network off!
The booting sequence goes as normal, then it stays on 96 for 3 mins then goes directly to 100% and could stay the entire day on that percentage, the phone is responsive, I can lock, screen shot and get to the shutdown screen.
I have picture password on and Sim Card PIN protection.
(I did try battery pulls and it works after multiple times but still takes longer than usual)
Edit: I did not post this before because I thought it's a 1 time issue, but now it occurs almost every time I reboot.

Sounds like you need to reload the 2141.

Sim card protection allows for a slow boot up time iirc
Disable it and see what happens

Hey, I have the exact same issue. With and without picture password it takes forever. I can brush my teeth and take a shower in the meantime. Sometimes it is really frustrating :S

The Picture Password doesn't have anything to do with boot time.

Okay worked fine once. Now it's taking forever again....
I wiped my phone, still the same.
    Is my phone dying?

I am considering a downgrade! The latest OS is the possible reason why it takes forever.

It might be from headless apps you have installed.

You could try going back to 10.2.1.1925 and see how it goes.

    Good Morning.

The "100 Percent Bug" was introduced in 10.2.1.1925 - and unfortunately it is not fixed in the 10.2.1.2141 Maintenance Release. Boot Time with SIM Pin enabled is for me always: 5 Minutes 17 Seconds.

Only "Fix" for now is to disable the SIM Pin completely. Don't know about Picture Password - did not use it.

It takes me 4-5 minutes to boot without the sim pin. I don't let my phone shutdown now because I know it might not boot at all.

That's really odd. The Strange thing is: On .2141, the First times I restarted the Device after the Installation of the OS, every thing was fine. But after I installed the App "Fire Chest Backup" (This App has no so called Headless Module by now BTW), the dumb Bug was back.

It seems that some Apps are the cause of this. But no one knows for sure yet.

Don't know why your Boot Time is still taking that long with Passwords disabled.
Have you downloaded and run the "BlackBerry Virtual Expert" from BlackBerry World? It's a BlackBerry App to check most parts of your Hardware.

BTW: No guarantee but I doubt that your Hardware is faulted - if it was, it should have stopped rebooting at all by now.

    Good Luck

All tests were passed. Maybe I have corrupted version of the OS. I will download the autoloader lengend added and install it.
Btw I'm kind of guessing that my vodafone sim card is the reason why it takes forever because when I switched my sim card to etisalat, it takes maximum 2 mins, but when i have the vodafone sim it takes forever. Maybe because vodafone changes the boot logo while etisalat doesn't change it.

I got some improvements after switching the sim card, too. With my vodafone sim it takes forever. With an O2 Sim it is much faster. But I don't know if this will stay like this, because I had to put my VF one back in.

    EDIT:
Never Mind: The O2 SIM has the wrong Format. Can't check this.

Interesting. I'm on Vodafone Germany. Maybe I have my Old O2 SIM left somewhere. Worth a try...

Yep, 100 bug still present, but my boot time takes max 3 minutes and that's on very rare occasions.

My Z10 on the same OS version also takes "forever" to boot. I installed the OS through BlackBerry Link and also reloaded the whole OS after update to get a clean install. However this started happening fairly quickly.

Just tried disabling the SIM pin as suggested in the thread and the boot time seems to be back to normal. Clocked it to 1:20 just now until I saw the OS loaded.

Turning off the pin did make it faster but still takes 5-4 mins I counted myself. But after removing my vodafone sim, it load in 58 seconds!
