The only person at fault is you for not checking if the phone you're getting has the capability.

Besides, your name and grammar tell me you're in a part of the world where TD-LTE is the standard (or Brampton), a standard with which literally only one BlackBerry model is compatible: the Priv STV100-3. No Z10, even the ones with LTE would work.

Blackberry DOES NOT want to b the number 1 smartphone brand. They said so recently.
I myself, wanted to buy z30/ passport, but b4 dat I checked with the people in here on crackberry, and decided to take the final decision in 2017.
I guess, u r trying to connect to Reliance Jio. Yes, no bb phone other dan the priv will connect.
Don't buy the imported dtek50 on Amazon/ others, they won't connect either. Only buy those phones that hav been introduced to India by the company themselves.

While not incorrect but not fair about the region part.
Vodafone does offer 4G services in 1800 Mhz which all BB10 devices support. But that's only Vodafone

The STL100-1 was made for countries that did not support 4G services at that time, and people knew that. No need to blame blackberry for this.

BlackBerry always develops the device according to their customers accross the globe thats why they produce multiple variants for various places, like automobile makers do(A genuine BMW car will cost around1-1.5crores indian rupees but BMW has also launched a 25lakh indian rupees car,so its our choice what to have or not) .And thats why the indian version of Z10 has different motherboard which doesnt support 4G.
After 6 months of launch of Z10,BlackBerry also launched Z30 for india which supports 4G(not Jio).
So This is all your fault by not enquiring about device's specification before buying it.

Actually the Z30 had a much cheaper launch price than the Z10
It didn't release in 6 months either.
After the Z10 came Q10 then the Q5 then the Z30

    Well, that explains.
In Delhi circle, Jio has partnered with Rcom to offer 4g infrastructure on band 5.
Whereas Jio owns band 3 & 5 spectrum in Himachal circle.
But this does not mean it will work pan India, because Jio owns band 40 pan India & only Priv has band 40 compliance.
The bb10 devices will work in these circles on the Rcom network not on the Jio network in other circles they will work only in circles where Rjio has band 3/ 5.

The OP must be trying to use the phone in circles other than those mentioned in the link AND those where Jio does not have band 3/ 5, in other words a very large part of India.

So you've come here to complain about this almost three years later?

Was this not a problem when you got the thing?

BlackBerry lost the attempt to be relevant in the phone business as a whole two years ago, much less any attempt to be number one.

You are correct on your side.
But here the matter is of 4G LTE Support & Z10-STL100-1 doesnt owns that.

Thats true. But if BlackBerry added those same bands like other variants. Z10 100-1 could also use FDD. And Z10 100-1 was the last variant I guess.

It was actually the first variant. Based on the Texas Instruments chip set and developed in early 2012. The -2,3 and 4 were developed next with the Qualcomm chip set later that year that allowed them to get 4G LTE.
