If you pull the battery, it's a battery pull. No way is it going to damage the software if you don't turn off first, QNX isn't built that way. In fact, in certain circumstances, a battery pull is recommended by BlackBerry themselves in the help section on the website. Stop trying to spread misinformation and read instead.

I have been told on multiple occasions by Blackberry techs to do a battery pull on the Z10. I asked if they wanted me to do a reset using the volume keys and they said, no, pull the battery and leave it out for 30 seconds before putting it back in. I am sure that if the pull would harm the OS they wouldn't have me do it.

Hello everyone.plz help me .I purchased bbz10 one month ago it works fine but last day i restart the phone it take considerable time to switch on so i just pulled the battery and on and it starting on it take 15 mints then automatically switched off and now it is dead no charging no usb no red light so what i do.I am from Pakistan and there is no warrenty of this set I purchased from a local buyers .no one even now what is the problem with set .Plz i love my blackberry give me a solution.Thank you

You might want to try reloading the OS using BBLink software. Don't have the link but there's a help blog here on Crackberry showing the various ways to trying to reload the OS. Or visit the OS Leak subforum and find the Autoloader that matches your phone model.
