That's all well and good...but how many devices did they restock and in which stores?! the exclusive BlackBerry store in New Delhi didn't have it! And I checked with 10-15 stores mentioned on the Blackberry India website and none of them had it...I'd like to know the numbers as a friend of mine wanted a z10 but couldn't get one...

I checked many stores in Pune, but their stock was sold as well. I had ordered from themobilestore but they canceled my order citing unavailability. Finally ordered one from Flipkart just before it got out of stock, will probably receive it on the 5th of April. Phew, I just hope I finally get it!

I think BlackBerry India should come up with information about device sales figures monthly...and advertise it!!

That's really a good sign that if the BB10 phones are priced right, they sell quicker.

It doesn't specifically state how many devices were restocked...all it states is that 'almost 10-15 devices were sold in 30 minutes'...if BlackBerry only gave each store only 15 devices after almost a month, that would be troubling indeed! Nowhere in the article does it state the actual number of devices given out to each store!

So you got nothing from the article except what the article doesn't state, good work sherlock lol

    * Forget sold out in India, the first Microsoft Surface was sold out worldwide last year and they took a Billion dollar write off.
    * Forget sold out in India, the Z10 device was the best ever selling Blackberry ever, breaking all records in Canada & UK last year, surpassing Blackberrys very own internal estimations, and yet they did a Billion dollar write off on that too.

So when I read an article about sold out, I tend to look for numbers, and those very vague numbers are all we can go off, the rest is hype & fluff, I don't know about you but I don't drink hype or eat fluff

Hahaha! I am a Z10 owner myself! And if a device gets a price cut that huge and doesn't sell out then that's an even bigger problem! The fact of the matter is that I was looking to get a Z10 for a friend of mine and none of the stores (mentioned on the Blackberry India website) had them in stock. Even the exclusive BlackBerry store in New Delhi didn't have it and told me that they wouldn't be bringing it back. Hence the need for numbers...so before you go on some rant, pause and think, Sherlock

Nice story about your friend, pause and read the posts Mr Watson, just cause we didn't get anything from the article to help you on your crusade to find a Z10 for your friend, that doesn't give you the invitation to claim a post isn't informative, as for those wanting to bypass all the hype, the quoted text is all they need without having to click the link relative to the "sold out" headline.

Good luck finding a Z10 for your friend

Anyway...selling out devices by slashing prices isn't the best way to go about it...I support BlackBerry and want them to stage a comeback...But Mr. Sunil Lalvani needs to go... the sales reps know nothing about the new devices and the advertising sucks!
