when I had my win 7 and plugged the Z10 I could see the device under computer or network............Since installing leaks I have lost that ability..(using win 8 now)....I have tried a bblink repair but it does says that I am missing the .msi package...........When phone connected to computer it says mounting but not showing then after a while it says connection error then reconnect back and forth....

I don't know where to look anymore..............even did a full uninstall of link and reinstall.....same result.....

Anyone out there ever had that problem before?????????????????

One question, are you using the original data cable? I also know some have had to reboot the computer to get it to work.

Yes I have had this issue in the past. My solution was to open device manager ( if u don't know how let me/us know), and remove all instances if blackberry devices. Ie click and hit the delete button.

Once done successfully Windows should "see" your device as if it was the first time and load everything up. Perhaps with your os updates etc something got mixed up.

Deleting under ports should do it. Delete them all. Then reconnect the device via usb

K I'm reading up on this seems to be a win 8 issue. I'll post the link to fix the mini port yellow exclamation mark but a reboot of your system is needed.

What a pain but this process should get u back up and running.

Google searches seem to indicate the min port issue is a common problem.
