So I was at friends house and they have a little 7 year old boy. To make the story short, I left my LE Z10 on the table and when I come back from the washroom, the boy is crying and I find my beloved phone part melted in the microwave. Won't turn off or anything. So sad. Luckily I still have my z30.

Lesson learned : do not leave your phone anywhere near kids

Smh after the first microwave incident the parents should have put the microwave up higher or unplugged it. I wish my kid would do some crazy mess like that. Next time it's aluminum foil >_<

Sorry for your loss. I would expect the parents to reimburse you! And it sounds as if the kid knows exactly what the microwave will do having done it to other items.

I the kid special needs? I mean 7 isn't 3. Sorry but that age a kid knows not to put non food items in the microwave just as he would know not to flush your wallet down the toilet. Then add to this that he had already done this prior and you have to think that it was intentional or some kind of call for attention.

The kid has a serious issue... his parents should do something about it... before he decided to take it to the next level e.g. "a live specimen"...

He is way too old to be behaving that way. Hope they will pay for a replacement. My kids were making their beds and doing their chores at a very young age to learn responsibility.

If there are no repercussions, he is never going to learn...tears or no tears. if you go easy on mom and dad, they'll go easy on him. You know them best, but something to think about, especially if he's done this before. I am sorry your BlackBerry got damaged. I would be lost without mine.
