I have a BB Z10 from Fido and I know it works on Rogers. With Fido I am not getting the same LTE speed as compared to my friends who are with Rogers. We did the speed test at the same location with a Fido BB10 and Rogers BB10 with their respective LTE sim cards in the phone. I was wondering if I bought a Rogers LTE sim card would I be able to activate it for use on Fido network...........as both Rogers and Fido are technically one? Has anyone tried this before?

Rogers sim world work without any problems in a Fido bought device, many have done this successfully! (as you correctly stated Rogers and Fido = same company)

Thanks Cap_172R. I know an ACTIVE Rogers sim will work on Fido BB Z10. My question is "If I buy a Rogers LTE sim (sold for $10) and call Fido customer service or activate through online activation a Fido number on that sim?". I am already a Fido subscriber with a Fido LTE micro sim.

You can't use a Rogers sim with a Fido plan. You need a Fido sim.

The testing you performed was probably not accurate. FIDO is every bit as fast as Rogers...and I have friends on FIDO with the Z10 getting 38 mb down and over 18 mb up. Rogers SIM will put you on Rogers...and if you're a FIDO client, you need a FIDO sim, period. Who cares how fast anyway? The browser speed won't be noticeably different even between 3G and 4G LTE on the Z10...but battery life gets much worse with 4G LTE.

What website do you use to test the LTE Speed as speedtest.net is not available?

Their website works fine for me. Enable flash.

I believed fido doesn't has the LTE network yet so even you buy a Rogers sim card the network that you roaming is 3g. That's why fido plan is much cheaper than Rogers.
