    Hey,

My z10 is getting really hot. I don't know why, but is keeps the high temperature even when no app is actually running. I don't know why this is happening. Do you know why this could possibly be happening? Maybe an app? Or a physical problem? Here is a picture of my temperature: no app bring on background.

I'm running os version 10.2.0.424 updated with sachesi.

    Thanks!

I had that happen about a year ago and a email full of pictures had stuck in the network. I had to shut my data network off over night and it fixed the problem. The way I found it was my data package was used up in about 3 days. Go to your email and check the send files and see if a large email just keeps sending. Mine sent the same emails to my wife thousands of times. Also it was draining my battery in about 4 hours. Good luck

You can also just try rebooting

    Try a restart:

Press and HOLD both Vol Up/Down buttons. Keep holding while the screen goes fully black, keep holding through the Black/White logo and when the Colored Logo shows up, release those buttons.

If you have the STL100-1 variant the volume button reset method doesn't work. In that case, Press and HOLD the Power On Button until you see the LOGO as above

I've heard some cases do it. Im not getting an other box for that fact.

Some z10s also just crap out. Get insurance or something before it dies.

Why a hard reboot? Why not just push and hold the top button and choose reboot?

I really don't know the full aspects of one versus the other. There are those who claim the Vol button reset is more robust. I do it that way generally when I have to do it.

I occasionally have this problem too. I don't know why. It heats up and battery is burned in less than 3 hours.

This has happened for a long time. Usually this happens when I have an unopened new email notification in the hub, or sometimes it happens for no reason.

It is usually resolved if I do a hard reset, then turn of the radio (turn the airplane mode on, or at least turn mobile data off), then open the email notification.

Turn stove mode off, it's a feature BlackBerry implemented in the Z10 in case you need to quickly fry some bacons.

Do you have Skype? That app can be buggy sometimes.

I also noticed that 4G LTE makes my Q10 very hot sometimes (especially while watching YouTube videos), or at least that's what I think it is. I'll be walking and my right thigh will suddenly feel very warm, but then it'll cool off.

I have a STL 100-3, so this method will probably work. But, never used before. Always reboot using the lock screen button. Is there any difference between the two methods?

How about checking your app manager? Do you have it in your settings with that os? Check and see what apps are at highest percentage of battery drain. There are apps that will tell you this as well
