BlackBerry doing excellent work in 10 OS platform with every update BB 10 users are getting more efficient with smartphones. But with every update only model is getting older is Z10, wifi direct miracast, simple features like FM which 1.5 k phone also has is missing on Z10. Z10 once launch in competition with Apple 5 S is rapidly losing position compared with other android phones also . Z 10 users feel left out with old chipset every time new update is launch. I request BlackBerry to kindly launch upgrade hardware version of Z 10 with latest chipset n super Amold screen.

I have been using my Z10 since last April, and I have never felt left out. The OS has been updating and it's to the point I think this phone now is complete. I was an iPhone user switching to z10 and I am very satisfied, on top of that I would never want a ****sung AMOLED super fake saturated color. CPU may not be the best on the current market now, but it feels plenty. I would strongly suggest you getting a Z30 in that regard.

Z-30 is bigger and costly, the features i am asking for is available on cheaper BB 10 Q-5 also but not on Z 10. Wifi direct miracast are today's need, upgrading Z 10 surely increase Z 10 value and user experience. Positive criticism always helps to improve things!

I have a Q10 with miracast and the FM radio, and have never used either of these features.


In fact, just today I was thinking how next month, I will have had the Z10 for one year already... and how it does not seem old or anything. The OS is everything, and BlackBerry is constantly improving it. I haven't grown tired of the Z10 at all, though I would of course like to get a Z30 if they ever sell them directly through their website.

Do you think a Z10 replacement will be at the same price point as the current one?

I would guess it is more likely to be closer to the Z30, at least when it is first released.

If you need the enhancements you are listing right now then I would suggest you bite the bullet and do as others have suggested and upgrade to the Z30.

Z 10 prices have dropped and chipset which supports wifi direct miracast FM comes in cheaper model q5 too m sure jakarta next handset of BB 10 at low prices will too have these features only slightly cost will rise due to screen change which is ok if kept same. I think new Z 10 would be still lower than at what price Z 10 was launched. Z30 is bigger and costly, Z10 exact the size phone that suits my convince. Anyways apologies if you Z 10 users found it harsh but believe me suggestions are just for improvements, I believe new version of Z 10 has immense potential with not only with chipset i am suggesting but more fabulous design comes from BB team! Btw future BlackBerry phone will have predominantly keypad as mentioned by BlackBerry CEO! May be sliding keypad may come with Z10 in future !

The only thing I'm missing in my Z10 is better/and stereo speakers....miracast and fm radio would be nice to have as an option, but not sure how much I would use them, unless miracast got much better...as far as fm radio I guess it would be ok, not sure of the advantages over other music options other than no data used...
As far as size goes, the Z10 is perfect for me....one handed all the time....every time I'm at Verizon I try out the Z30, and Q10....just like the fit of the Z10...

Keep in mind that the z10 has a few more features than the q5 (hdmi out for one, I believe), and I understand that the 10 runs a bit snappier...q5 is still a budget phone, z10 is just a year old high end phone, IMHO. I agree I like the size of the z10 vs the z30, and I wouldn't mind seeing some sort of refresh, I just wouldn't compare the current version to the 5.

I have been using Z10 since launch and it certainly does not feel old or out of date. I had to get it replaced last week as my contacts kept disappearing, and used my wife's Samsung galaxy S4 for a day while Z10 was being swapped out and hated every minute of it. Sooo glad to get hands back on Z10.

You can't download an FM radio. You can get an app that STREAMS over data, but you are not yet able to download hardware upgrades to your device.

I am patiently waiting for it to happen, my own Replicater like they have on Starfleet ships.

The z20 or whatever should be almost the exact same size, but a bigger screen with way less bezel and wasted surround space. Specs really do not matter as long as the OS and standard set of apps all run well.

Thanks for you opinion mate. Not trying to bash but I disagree, simply with the fact that the Z10 is getting better with each update. Better battery, radios, fixed bugs, instant preview for those who are just now upgrading from 10.1, etc.

I had a Z10 when they first came out last year, one of the first few in the USA to have one unlocked and working on T-Mobile in February last year. Yes I left to try HTC one, s4, and an s3 to see the competition, but yet here I am a YEAR LATER back on the Z10 because of its efficiency and uniqueness that keeps me moving.

A year later and I still feel like this phone is brand spanking new.
