Haven't tried using either one yet - but will try. Was shocked to learn that my Zed10 even had it on (Miracast that is). Had read here on CB that it was not included on the Zed. Does everyone else have it in the storage but can't use it?

Hardware is missing.

Getting old.. my Z10 still rocks. Hard to please everyone i guess... maybe i'm just happy with greatness. lol My Z10 has lots of life yet.
With the set of features that BlackBerry pumped out, I feel that Z10 will still be awesome years later, and still eligible for software updates

What many don't understand or even realize is that Android's open source platform makes it very bloated.
It requires a lot of horsepower to run efficiently.
QNX (the basis of BB OS10) requires very little horsepower to multi-task and run apps.
With the simple processor I have running in my old Z10, it runs circles around my wife's iThingy.

Looks like the OP is the only one feeling it. Maybe it's time for the OP to get a new phone.

Might also b a language thing. Seems that Miracast still needs some fine tuning if u follow the Z30 forum. I use DLNA, NFC with smart tag, HDMI, Wifi and bluetooth on my Z10 and prefer the LCD display. Still learning new things about my phone from the CB forum too. Not bored at all with my Z.

I'm still loving my Z10, but very curious to see what BlackBerry has in store for the next couple devices :) Q10 is my next likely phone, Q5 is not up to snuff, and Z30 is too big for my liking, but something upgraded in the 10 range, or a high end qwerty would peak my interest for sure.

The processor's the same in the Z30 as the one in the Z10.

I agree with the Op. An updated z10 would have been good for the brand.

Specs are stupid. The z10 still seems fresh for new users. That's what matters. We have to get the newbies.

No it's not. The Z10 uses Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon which uses the Adreno 225 GPU where as the Z30 uses the Qualcomm MSM8960T Pro which uses the faster Adreno 320 GPU and clocked slightly faster. :)
Used my brothers iphone 5s, z10 still superior in a lot of ways!

These kind of threads are getting old.. What other OS updates as frequently as BlackBerry does?
too bad your hardware doesn't support them
you can't really compare, BB10 just started while the others have matured and don't need to (in their minds) to dole out updates as much as BB does. However, this discussion I believe is about specs and phone function, rather than OS updates.
Android is doing it's best, but support is poor, because only like 5 % run the latest version. BlackBerry is superior with software updates. People are impressed when I tell them about my beautiful Z10!
I bet there was an original plan for an updated Z10 style phone but was probably canceled since they didn't make any money on the original Z10. It's going to take a magic combination of new hardware/software/marketing to get the company back in the game. I love my Z10, but iPeople just don't see things the same way.
Twbtr give him or her a break you know what they mean at least when it comes to updates without having to go through the whole dragged out sideloading or ordering sim.
