Maybe you need to have it unlocked first?
Let use other network, other sim.

Can we be specific in what we have and is being attempted?
What is the Z10 model number (Setup > About > Model Number... there are 4 possible models for the Z10)
Is the device already unlocked?
What carrier are you trying use?
Let's just start there for now.
Joel
model Blackberry Z10 STL100-3

When you say "unlocked", are all three, "Network", "Network Subnet" and "Service Provider", listed as "Unlocked"? If not, it's not truly unlocked for use with any SIM.
Where do you find those settings?

Settings->Security and Privacy->SIM Card
i just found out that it does support all sim cards but if i put the sim card that has 4G network access it's when the problems start... does this mean this BB10 does not support 4G network
The Z10 -3 model only supports 4G LTE bands 2,4,5 & 17 - basically, it's the North American variant.
I don't know where you are, but if the carrier you're using doesn't use those bands, then you're not going to get 4G.
You have to use the proper variant for your part of the world. BB10 does support 4G/LTE, but only certain bands depending on the phone model. They didn't do then like they do now - support almost every possible LTE band in the world with one or two models.

i'm using vodacom
Guess I'll have to look it up...
It appears that Vodacom uses LTE bands 1,3 and 8. With band 3 being their primary, and only band until the last year or so.
Those don't match what the ST100-3 uses. You have the wrong model for your carrier.
The STL100-2 would have been model you needed.
There are 4 Z10 model variants, and only one (the -2) works with the LTE bands in your area.
