Hi members my BlackBerry z10 stl-1 camera suddenly stopped working few days back,now its saying camera can't be started.
I have tried all methods factory reset, security wipe even reloading device software.
Kindly help this is really frustrating.

Maybe try loading a different version of the software. A long time again, I think this was a problem for that model of the Z10 but have not seen issues with it more recently. Did you install any other new apps that use the phone? Snapchat or instagram or any other app?

I am using 10.3.1
No I don't have any other apps installed that uses camera flash is working after every restart but once I open camera it stops as well.tried everything.

I think you should try updating to 10.3.2. Your issue might go away.

Also my battery emptied at 40-50 percent and also videos stops don't play.
I don't understand why it happened it was working find but suddenly it started.

I'm having the same issue.. sometime on/off the phone would be help but most of the time not. the same issue occurs during new OS 10.2 replace OS 10.1.
Malaysia still no new update on the latest OS 10.3.2...

Hey,the same issue I was facing. What I did at that time is, I was used to restart the phone several times. Then I received update for my z10. Guess what, it's working fine now and the battery life is much good than previous OS. Can't expect more from BlackBerry now. Completely satisfied

this should be released in India now. always learn to update to the most recent version of the ios if your phone encounter errors such as these in future.

Hmm. In cases like this, I'm thinking the only fix could be a factory reset. Annoying but these things happen. Have you tried a third-party camera application like camera++? It might help you diagnose if it's a software or hardware issue. If it's a hardware issue, you'd have to check the connections and possibly buy a new camera piece (very inexpensive and easy to do).

What does prophets camera say when you try and snap a pic from the rear? It seems hardware related

If it's within a year of purchase... yes.
Make sure when you contact that you tell them you have performed the steps in the kb article I posted earlier.
