Aside from ensuring all applications are closed, change my display settings to lower level, reduced my screen timeout, turned off bluetooth and wifi how can i ensure my battery will last more than 4 hours on my blackberry Z10!!!

With normal usage, not continuous with the screen on, you should get better life than you describe. If the issue is not major usage and the problem is new then first delete recent apps. If still a problem update to one of the latest OS versions for the Z10. The 10.1 OS versions have better battery life than the first ones issues.

If you just got your z10, and just got your emails synced, it's going to take a while for it to settle.

It will do 4hrs no problem.

During the last 3 weeks my BlackBerry Z10 battery life has been terrible some of the time for unexplained reasons. This morning I charged my Z10 and within 3 hours the battery was completely drained. I had not used the smartphone since it finished charging and I was in a strong signal area (4G). The Z10 is less than 6 months old.

I think mine does 5 hours even with navigation for the whole time. Yours is messed up if it's doing 4.

I used to get over 12 hours of actual use from a fully charged battery and over 24 hours if it was barely used except for inbound email. Why the sudden decrease in battery life?

When the wifi turned on and within the workable range then the battery drain less. When the wifi off and on cellular 3G or 4G it will drain much faster and become warm. On 2 G is ok but the phone does not get updated very well.

1. Make sure latest os version is installed
2. Perform initial battery training
3. Switch off 4G. 3G is sufficient for normal use
4. Disallow "gestures when screen locked"

I wonder any device can play game continuously over 5~6 hours .
It's hardcore to drain battery LOL.
Use for work and a little entertainment, best battery life.
