When I daisy chain my Z10 and the battery charger bundle with my wall plug charger I get the following message on screen.. 'To charge your device faster use the charger that came with this device.' I assume this is because the phone is detecting the full potential charge as to what it would do if I just plugged the phone in the wall charger.

    Help? Thanks in advance!

Hi Thomas, and a belated welcome to CrackBerry!
Please update your profile to include device, carrier, and location. Makes it easier for others to help you.

It's silly you would see that message using OEM products they way they were intended, but it's no big deal.

You can disregard, but I'd experiment a little first. Try a different outlet or two. Is the cable the one that came with the device? Either way, maybe try a different one. If you spot one for a good deal, invest in a BB Premium Charger (aka PlayBook Charger). It's a 1.8A output vs the 0.75A output of the stock Z10 charger.

I used the q10 charging bundle with the q10, worked perfectly, but when I plugged the charger into the q10 charging bundle and then plug the charging bundle into the q10, I got the same message. I'm thinking the battery bundle can't charge itself and charge a device at the same time? Not sure but I can say that I have the same issue

Stupid question here. I got this charging bundle free in December from Blackberry, nice gift. But is this used mainly when you are somewhere where you can't plug your phone charger into a wall outlet? And I wondered why you wouldn't just swap the fully charged battery in the travel charger with your phone's dead battery, instead of plugging it into the travel charger?

Hm, I only use the charger bundle to swap batteries. Also use it for charging my Dell Venue 8 Pro Tablet and my Logitech Illuminated K810 Keyboard. It's nice to charge any micro USB device with the BlackBerry Charger Bundles! At home I'm using BlackBerry Multimedia Dock for charge my Z10

I have the charger bundle for my z10 and it is nice to have the option to replace the battery or just charge from the bundle.

There have been times when I am in a meeting or on a call, where it is just not convenient to pull the battery and restart the phone. It only takes a second to plug in the bundle.

Anyone else notice that the battery drains while sitting unused I the charging case? I've had both my batteries in there and I fully charged for future use but if I don't use for a few weeks, when I go to actually use it, battery is almost out dead. I have one of these for a 9900 and it sat idle for a year and no drainage.

What OS? I used to see that with 10.1 MR and I *believe* it pretty much went away with 10.2.0. I have yet to see it with 10.2.1. It is just telling you that the charging source is not putting out enough juice to charge your device at a normal rate. It will still charge but slower. If you're heavy using the device it will likely not charge at all when that message shows up.

I got the same message: 'To charge your device faster use the charger that came with this device.' . The battery icon also indicated that my device was not receiving a sufficient charge to charge the battery. I then disconnected it and reconnected it. No error showed up. Battery indicates it is being charged. The percentage indicator has increased a few percent so it seems ok. It's worth noting I had taken out the spare battery when testing.

I also noticed when daisy chaining the charging bundle to a Z10 with the spare inside tends to pull a charge from the spare battery as well as the power source. Has anyone noticed this?

I've had the Z10 charger bundle for 6+ months. Never worry about battery again.
I charge both batteries at once and leave with 2 full batteries.

The bundle simply gives you both options, either plug it in to the phone for a battery boost of >50% or swap the battery and keep going. The bundle also acts as a perfect case for your spare battery!

As for your "message of use the charger ". Same thing happened when I used my old bold charger, but went away after a couple charges, haven't seen it since 10.1. Never happened with my bundle though.

    Hi elite1,

Thanks for your advise, it would appear that the wall port I was using wasn't powering the device (I was using an extension lead). I changed this so it's just plugged directly into the wall and there is now no fault. I won't be using that extension lead anymore.

    Kind Regards,

I have the same issue also. I don't normally go through a full battery in a day, but the few times I have, I swap out the battery and I only have 25% or so. I just try to remember to charge the spare once a week or so, just in case. I thought I was the only one with this issue!!

On a side note, I do find the battery that came with the bundle lasts longer than the original battery when both are fully charged.
