In India, since we follow British English, its zed for us, along with colour and globalisation and so on.

My point was that the US exception is actually (in terms of population) bigger than the rule itself.
'In terms of population' as compared to what?

300ZX was pronounced with a zee. Those of us who studied computer science think of zed as the language Z, I think.
    My 240Z was pronounced 240Zed.

As a car enthusiast, who's always had an affection for the Z (especially the original 240), I can definitely confirm. It's been a Zeecar, and always will be.
Well my 1972 Datsun 240Z was a "Zed". Sorry to rain on you "zee". LoL

As a Canadian living in the U.S. I can assure you, you're both right. It was a "zed" car in Canada and it has always been a "zee" car in the U.S.

I don't care what they call it as long as they call it "successful".

Remember that the US by population is quite a bit larger than Canada - 320 million vs what, 40 million or so? The UK is 62 million, Australia is 22 million and New Zealand is 4.3 million.

US English-as-first-language speakers outnumber all other countries put together, I think (I'm not sure how many in India use English as a first language though so I could be completely wrong just because of that).

Also Greek alphabet derived languages don't call it Zee or Zed. Russian seems to call the equivalent letter ze, like zed without the D it sounds like.

Really we are all pronouncing it wrong. It is zeta.
Just because you always do something wrong doesn't make it right.
The US, just like Canada, was settled buy the English so we should know how to speak the language. Not saying we Canadians are perfect English speaking people either, but I don't agree that just because the majority has decided to do it a different way means that that's the right way.
Next you will say that we need to say "axe" instead of "ask".

Oh I know. But zee isn't wrong either, it's just American English rather than British English. If Americans hear about a phone called the zed ten they will have no idea that a marking "Z10" is what that is, but it isn't a big deal.

not to mention the Camaro "Zee/Zed" 28, Corvette "Zed/Zee" R1, Camaro IROC "Zee/Zed", BMW "Zed/Zee" 3/4/8, Honda CR-"Zee/Zed", I could go on and on and on and on.....

Neither is incorrect. Language evolves; and if American English takes over the world, ZEE will be the new correct pronunciation taught in space academies around the galaxy.

Me however, I'll play old school and call it my Zed 10. Or Zulu 10, cause that sounds effin' rad.
