This is getting very frustrating, though there are many leaked updates out there, still waiting for BlackBerry to announce the the official Os update for the z10.

    Any news??

No news yet, but I've heard that the latest leak yesterday could possibly be the official release soon. It is sad that carriers take a while, but, as you know they have to 'test' the OS first...

1-2 weeks time... according to BlackBerry the final os has been sent to respective carriers. If all good, without hiccups, the carriers will push OTA.

If you think OS have been sent to carriers then what are the leaks? Will the OTA # be less than the leak?

Do you think we will be able to go from a leak to final build without wiping?

We all know that when the carriers say "test", what they really mean is - "How do we get our bloatware to work with this?"

It's good if it is sent to the carriers, but here in india things get done very slowly.

    Will wait

When an update is released it can affect thousands of customers. If there's something wrong in the build it can build the perception that the device is faulty. So carriers have to get it right before releasing a new OS. I'm sure that both carriers and Blackberry look at sites like CB for feedback on leaked OS builds.

Read an article a while back that said BB10 updates would no longer require carrier approval after a while. Is this no longer the case?

I think that all of the talk on this website in regards to needed updates and available leaked updates makes a person become even more impatient. It drives me crazy and I stopped worrying about it. The phone works fine for now and one day i will wake up and there will be an update available. There is no reason for it to ruin my day.....everyday. I don't want to be so critical about an electronic device update even if i do consider myself a gadget guy.

i just installed the latest leak last night.

i did a full restore. I had to re-install some apps.

but other than that, it seems to be working fine.

they are getting close to the final version.

The leaks are testers and ticklers that allow BB to get negative feedback on errors with impunity while also providing evidence that true op revision actually does exist.

Agree with last post, however, unless you want to play with one of the various leaked versions, the carriers will release when they are ready... Hopefully no later than end of month for official release of 10.1.

I believe that since there is not a leak for CDMA devices. We all know Verizon is last.

Based on past experience with everything Verizon, add 6 months to when the release comes out everywhere else until when Verizon releases it.
