Try going to the blackberry world site on a computer. Login to your BBID and install it to your device from there. If that doesn't work, try scanning the QR code on the site and see if that works instead.
Thanks for the tips. I have done all that, it still gave me this error message. It's really weird.

Actually, Facebook was like this too.

Whenever anything weird happens with BB World, usually clearing the BB World cache fixes the issue.
- Open BB World.
- Swipe down from top, select Settings.
- Tap the version number. (There will NOT be any visible indication that anything happened!)
- Tap Back.
- Swipe up to minimize. Long press the X until BB World frame closes. (Don't just tap it.)
- Reopen BB World to see if issue is resolved.
If not, please repeat the steps above, but don't reopen BB World.
Next, do a device reset. (NOT the same as a restart.)
Hold down top button, for about 30 seconds.
Keep pressing it down, ignoring onscreen countdown and restart option, BB splashscreen, black screen, red LED, BB splashscreen again.
I keep holding it down until I see the blue startup icon.
See if anything is fixed after the reboot. Fingers crossed...
This is how you CB10, son!
Thanks for the detailed instructions, elite. I have followed your guide three times, unfortunately there was no luck. After rebooting three times, the unavailable message still showed up. This is really weird.

Is it showing that she error on the blackberry website?
Posted via CB10
Nope, when I log in through BlackBerry site, it said, a update message will be sent to my phone. Yet, I have never got one. I also scanned it, and those messages showed up as well.

Ok, I have looked through all all the apps I have, and here are the ones which can't be updated: twitter, Facebook, Dropbox, and foursquare. Other apps have no weird messages, and showed "Installed."

What software version do you have? Sounds like a SDK Developer version.

I am on STL-2 10.0.10.90

Here it is

Which carrier are you with?
Posted via CB10
Is it carrier related? I am on the job in China now, and the phone is sim free, I tried putting in my Vodafone sim in, still no luck.

I believe that some apps cannot be downloaded in some countries, either due to export controls or in this case, government censorship.

Even I pop my Vodafone sim with vpn on?
I mean, the BlackBerry world would ( able to detect where I am exactly? I have turned the gps off, and used vpn with US/UK ip. All these wouldn't let me update a couple of simple apps. Ouch

The fact that it is the social media style apps being blocked suggests that this may be the case. But I'm no expert on Chinese security so it's merely a guess.

I am on the 10.0.10.90 now, and I have no problem logging into Facebook and Twitter as long as I am on the VPN. It's just the update that doesn't work, which is somewhat strange.

I see a couple of issues. 1. you're on VPN. Even though you maybe able to access the apps, being on VPN suggests a company server. Admin controls maybe blocking them. 2. You're out of your home country. That can cause issues also with updates dealing with security as SparrowhawkMMU mentioned. If you're in another country then you're more than likely not on your home network. If features are being blocked by any particular network then you will not be able to update or download. In this case, you're in China so they may not have the same version released or they are not allowing you to update over their network.
Thanks for the fine explanation, Mr.C05. I guess I would have to stick with it, until the next 10.1 OTA. I could update via OTA, that wasn't an issue for me. I am crossing Mt fingers, the update would come with the latest update on Facebook and Twitter apps.
