In USA, the day 3 is some greeting card sending app that sounds pretty useless from the reviews. I love the obviously fake reviews that give it 5 stars though, lol.

Works for me in Canada, all u do is go to BlackBerry App World and you'll see for example "day 3 giveaway" you click and download it'll ask for your password for your BlackBerry id and bam, it's downloading

That probably means you got to a dialog called Confirm Purchase, where it showed you your current payment method and the amount you would be charged, including taxes, and where you had to click on a button that said Purchase. That would have been a good place to back up and figure out what the mistake was.

Edit: by the way, there's a FAQ link at the bottom of the promotion page in BB World on your device. Click it to download a PDF which covers the case of "I got billed for an item in the promotion" to see what you can do about it.
