Yeah they no help they say it's not them as BlackBerry has their own requirement to make sure for a year that devices are working order

You need to return it to the pint of purchase as they had the warranty and are responsible for arranging repairs or replacement. Depends on whether it's under warranty still and the reason for the button no longer working as to whether there will be a charge.

Just got a call from Koodo that my new Z10 is in since they couldn't fix my old one. Be glad to get rid of thus loaner that seems to be possessed by a Danish devil. Auto correcting to some Danish word I can't understand.. that may just land me in a heap of trouble..

Well you haven't had it a year yet and it appears to be a workmanship defect. You shouldn't have a problem getting a working device. I suspect that they will offer you a refurbished one at this point.
