I'm a huge, huge, huge fan of BlackBerry but if BlackBerry going for android junk then I would shift to iPhone (unhappily) but never android. Please it's a request from a die hard fan of BlackBerry don't make an android smartphone.

They would continue both lines I'm sure, but if they do, they will be forced to remove the Android Runtime from BB10 to comply with OHA regulation.

BB10 will remain an option for high-secure environments.

I can imagine that they produce an Android phone as an additional sideline, yet not in order to replace BB10.

I also have the same feeling that they will carry on with very seperate lines. One with android and one with only BlackBerry.
I am almost sure Chen will not be so foolish to jump to android ship alone unless his motive is to break the company.
I also have this thought that he will make maybe slider available in both versions and maybe every year one android phone.
I am eagerly waiting for this Chen guy or somebody to make an announcement regarding this. This silence is really ugly.

Don't forget that a BB10 phone stripped of the Android Runtime is not as attractive for many consumers.

Yes, you might be true about running both lines but the thing is that why bother to go for junk OS if you already have much better bb10. I read an article few days ago in some news paper about Google considering putting some limitations of modifying their os as android being open source many cheap mobile making companies modifying their OS making vulnerable to it. Believe me I live in India how cheaply you can get an android phone.

This would be a stupid move. There is nothing to be gained from this. If BlackBerry phones run Android, why would people buy a BlackBerry Phone. It won't be specs, it won't be security.
