Shop BlackBerry have a pretty good 30% saving offer on here in the UK and the Gateway is included in this offer. I've been looking for this for a while and now that I can get it cheap, a question's popped into my head - will it make use of my Z10's Bluetooth 4.0 (Low Energy, I believe)? I've read bits here and there that it's actually a Bluetooth 1.0 device so if this is the case, what implications would this have on my Z10's battery?

It's not BTLE, but the BT module in the Z10 is busy very little power so you can safely stream music for hours.

The music gateway Is a great device

I've got one and it works well. But since I use it mainly to stream the audio channel for videos, I don't much notice its power drain as the video has the most impact.

Been using the gateway with my z10 for over a year now. It works fine. I remember back on 10.2, the range was very limited but 10.3 seems to have addressed that. I definitely suggest u invest in the gateway. The thing's a blessing. I use it everywhere!

the gateway has a micro usb port for charging you can hook your car charger to it I got the one that has two cables one for my blackberry and one for the gateway.
there is third party models that have some built in battery but too bad not in the gateway.
I also have the bluetooth speaker actually it is two in one it is like the gateway, have built in battery and it is also a speaker !

Funny, how it is eay to miss that aspect of the charger. But just yesterday I was installing a new AV Receiver and had to disconnect the Gateway, and, yes, there it was, a USB cable to the plug!!!

Gateway 2 has NFC. Also, Gateway 1 drops the music every minute or so when paired with the Z10, worked perfectly with my Storm.
