If it is avaible on your carrier, yes. Plug your BB device to Link and hit Software Updates.

Is this safer a faster then doing it over wifi?

I tried doing it over Link to say because I'm at work. But my phone was showing no updates on Link.

Although it could have been because my Link needs to be updated.... didn't have time to update and reboot my PC.

I can't find anywhere on Blackberry Link how to force an update check. My Z10 shows the 10.2 update is ready but Blackberry link does not, it doesn't even let me back up. Suggestions? Just do it over wifi?

You have to search for software updates on your phone first.. then plug it in and it should show up

Also make sure you're using the latest version of BlackBerry Link

    From my experience, neither.

I stay away from Link. If you can do oOTA, make sure you have twice the space the update is asking for and go for it.

Tried 10.2 update on Link first and it failed. Worked first time OTA

Wow they really need to fix Link. Do you think the major of BlackBerry owners do OTA?

Whenever there's a software update from the carriers I always do it OTA. I use Link to backup the phone just in case but that's about it.

I can't tell how many people update over OTA, but that's what I have always used and have been happy with the results. Because of the past success record with OTA, I am hesitant to use the Link, especially having experienced so much confusion when synching or managing files with it. Plain and simple, I do not trust the Link to upgrade! It's sad, isn't it?

I just uninstalled my old version of BlackBerry Link and did a fresh install to the newest version.

It works pretty good now, backed up my phone one shot and I updated to my carriers version of 10.2 without any errors or issues.

I can't say the same for 10.2 as an OS though, still getting used to it and I'm not quite sure I like it just yet as I had 10.1 tweaked just perfectly.
