The reality thought, is that the average Canadian/American/European can afford a "premium" device if they really want one, whereas in India it doesn't necessarily work that way. That's just the reality of developing nations. The budget friendly "curve" variant will be a much better fit then the z10 ever could be in India. Also, the price in India is very marginally more expensive then in Canada. Here we pay 649-699 + tax (~13% depending on the province), which works out to $730 - $791, so if it's available in India for around $800 & considering it's an import, it's essentially the same price.
