I was at my Honda dealer today having my brand new 2013 Civic detailed and I was talking to the guy who sold me the car a few weeks back. I was saying to him that I loved the music, phone and text capabilities with the Bluetooth in the car. I mentioned I especially liked the fact that the car will read me my text messages over the speaker. He turned to me and asked "You have a BlackBerry, don't you?" I pulled out and started showing him my Z10 and he proceeded to tell me that Honda apparently has much love for BlackBerry, because they are the only phones all the Bluetooth features work for, specifically the text read feature.

This is the same for Lexus vehicles with the same features (text reading /replying). The Z10 and I'm sure the Q10 are the only phone(s) that work 100% correctly.

It's possible that their cockpit infotainment/maps system is built on the QNX car platform, which is owned by Blackberry.

It's also possible that the Bluetooth implementation on BB10 is more complete than some of its competitors.
