I have just installed the new 10.3 leaked OS on my BlackBerry Z10 STL-3. After OS installation I tried to connect my device with BlackBerry Blend but it says "Restricted to RIM internal devices only" what does it mean and how can I pair my device with my computer to use BlackBerry Blend? Thanks. I'm on Wind Mobile in Toronto.

From what I understand, only Passports support it on 10.3 (I have it working with no problem.)

Other devices must wait until 10.3.1 - sorry. It's a great feature.

Although you install OS 10.3.1, but the BlackBerry Blend just only for BlackBerry Passport right now.

It checks if you have 1 of 190 special PINs or if your hwid is Passport or Porsche 9983. This is an exclusivity period.
No end date known. Have to wait for a new fuse app on phone.

Thanks for getting info. I thought as long as you have 10.3 OS you are good to go but that's not the case. Any word on official release?

I know it's a dream come true feature for me. I used to use Nokia Suite long time ago but with very little capabilities. BlackBerry Blend is way better than that. I'm really excited and looking forward to it's official release soon. Enjoy BlackBerry Passport :-)

This is absolutely correct. Certain pins, the Passport and the P'9983. All I can say is it works really well. I have just started using it with the P'9983 and it makes life so much easier.

Can someone with a passport test something for me? Can you use blend if your laptop or tablet is connected to the hot spot of the passport? Like can there be a local connection? (bluetooth, wifi hotspot) without the need of a router with internet access

As per my knowledge, you can connect with BlackBerry Blend in 3 eady ways; 1st USB, 2nd Wifi and 3rd your mobile data. In case of 3rd option you have to turn it ON as this is optional due to data usage.

There seem to be done non-passport phones that have blend working as I understand it. The pins of these phones are white listed for this service and can connect. Not sure how some pins made this list: carried by BlackBerry employees?
