Personal preference really but I prefer matte as they are easier to read outdoors in my opinion.

I've had both as I've had 2 z10s. Matte is nice. Makes the phone look pretty cool when the screens off. Got used to the fuzziness over time. Now I'm using the clear and I think I like it better. Takes advantage of the screen. Still find it easy to read the screen even outside on sunny days. Plus it does shine when the screens off. Found it hasn't been too bad for smudge marks.

I've used both. I like the "stealth" look of the matte -- that's on my company-issued iPhone. I find the clear better for the clarity -- that's on my personal Z10 (daily driver).

I've only used the clear. It's great. Love it. And very protective and hasn't scratched.
