I am currently an AT&T customer, but plan on switching to Verizon since there is no AT&T coverage in my area. I was planning on going to a Verizon store at the beginning of April to look at the phone and hopefully purchase one, but I wasn't sure if it would be better to buy online or from BestBuy or online at Costco. I am anxious to get the Z10, but I need time to hopefully terminate my AT&T contract early without spending too much money. I also want to have a look at the Z10 before I buy because I'm worried about leaving my physical keyboard of my Bold 9900. Since I would be opening a new account/contract what would be the easiest/cheapest way to do that with Verizon?

Store will probably be the better option. The Verizon website says the phone will ship on the 28th whereas if you walk into a Verizon or Best Buy store on the 28th, you could demo the phone and walk out with one on the same day. Don't think there are any cost-saving benefits to doing it online vs at a store

I'd check if the prices (and promotions) are the same on VZW's site and store. Also, keep in mind, third party stores may have their own ETF on top of the carrier's ETF. Make sure you get that sorted out.

I am going to buy from Best Buy because their insurance is a much better deal than Verizon's. Starting with no deductible and no limit on how many claims you can have. Plus loaner phone until you get yours replaced.

    Thanks for the feedback!

I think I'm going to go ahead and go to a Verizon store to look at the Z10 at the end of March/early April. I'm anxious to hold one in my hand and try it out so that's probably my best bet. The nearest BestBuy is 1.5 hours away so seeing the Z10 at a Verizon store might be easier.
