Mireo is quality, it uses tomtom maps however seems to be more accurate than the tomtoms I have used.

I've found many a rural location in Wales and Scotland with ease.

I believe the UK and Ireland map was about 13 GBP when I purchased them. There is free downloads for 3D mapping which is handy in cities, it has the option to beep when you exceed the speed limit, and you can search via Location name, postcode or coordinates.

It is listed as British Isles map. Are you able to scroll down the list of maps? It's found between Croatian and DACH maps on my device.

OP, do you have Snap installed? If so MAPS.ME recently went free. They have excellent offline map support with the option of turn by turn routing. If memory serves me correctly, the UK map (with routing) came in at ~550MB.
