I dropped my phone yesterday on the floor and the battery popped out and got slightly bent, it still charges and works but is it still safe to use it? Is there a chance it will it explode? Here are the pics.

Better safe than sorry. The constituent parts can be explosive so overheating (games or similar) could drive it past safety???

Is the battery physically bent? Because from your picture it looks more like the label is coming off.

When you dropped it on the floor, was it still in the phone in your back pocket and you dropped with it?

Z30, and yes, it's a bit on the heavy side..., but the Carbonate case is Killer!

Its hard to imagine a drop would bend like that, did you slam it out of anger?

Anyways just replace, ebay has a lot of cheap replacements for it

Yup... dump the battery... the protective case which houses the battery may have developed leaks...

Save yourself and the phone... buy a new OEM battery asap!

    NO.

Lithium batteries rely on the integrity of the separator. If it is violated (and that looks like it could be) it can short out internally. There is enough energy in there, in that event, to start a nasty fire that is very hard to put out.

All RadioShack locations have a call2recycle box. Drop it off there for free.
