Question for you Bell reps and/or knowledgeable peeps.... When I replaced my SIM yesterday in my Z10 (don't ask. It's a complicated story involving a cat who likes shiny things) the CS agents said that I needed an LTE-enabled SIM and proceeded to fetch one that was clearly marked "4G LTE" on it. He showed me another micro SIM that didn't have the markings. I asked what the difference was other than the labelling, and he told me he didn't know but they were instructed to use these SIMs.

So....is there a difference? I would think that the provisioning to LTE would be automatic given a) the LTE radio on the phone and b) the LTE-enabled towers. The SIM just contains the information that identifies/authenticates the phone to the network. Maybe they have a lot of SIMs whose #'s are registered for LTE access?

The LTE sims are provisioned different because it uses different frequencies than the previous network technologies.
