I would suggest doing what I did and talk to retention. They need to honor their contract commitment as well. I called and they set me up with a 6gb bis plan as it matches what I paid for and that's 6gb regular smartphone data plan.

do you have the plan code? all plans are tied to plan codes. so if you can find that out and let us know... this whole fiasco would be moot

At Koodo they absolutely wouldn't let me keep my bis plan with my Z10.. said it wouldn't work etc but I told them it should and that it's bs and what not but I took the plan they were offering anyway because it was superior to my bis plan in every way.

Point is it should work with whatever plan you got. Bis works on it.. regular data plan works on it as well which is what I'm using right now.

    TL;DR:
    • As of April 10th, Bell's BIS plan policy is unchanged (BB-specific plan required for Z10)
    • I threatened to leave Bell for Koodo and they switched me to a better plan and saved me money

According to their customer support reps Bell hasn't changed their tune on this yet. I switched my Bell service from my Moto Atrix 4G to an unlocked Z10 yesterday via the online tool and voice/text work but cellular data does not. When I called customer support five separate reps (2 front-line, 2 from loyalty/retention, 1 from tech support) all said the same thing: the Z10 requires a BlackBerry-specific data plan costing $10-15/mo above my current plan's rate . After repeating the same story to the first four reps I then tried threatening to pay out my contract ($380 fine) and take my business to Koodo. Having only 11 months left I guess they took that threat seriously...after a 2nd trip to retention dept I came out with a new plan (200min/mo, 6GB data, unlimited text, call display, voice mail, unlim. calling after 6PM for $60/mo) for slightly less than I was paying before (had a Fab 10 plan @ $55/mo for 1GB data, unlimited text and unlim calling after 8PM + $8/mo for caller ID).
