Hi :

Ever since updating to 10.1 (or maybe not) once in a while my bedside mode quits and I get no alarm in addition to all active frame applications being closed (led disco, data monitor etc). This is extremely annoying and I miss the alarm quite a few times already because of that.

Anyone had that on Z10 or knows if there is a fix?

Nope just quits from bedside mode and that's it. Maybe it actually reboots overnight - I have no clue... I've never visualized the process - just after the fact.

Yeah, all active frames apps are gone when I look at it in the morning. I don't know if this warrants a reboot or not, but I've never seen it reboot.... Happens overnight. Perhaps it does indeed reboot?

When I had the reboots the alarm would shut off. Several posts about this.

Yes it did reboot just south of 6AM this morning and my alarm was at 7:15... When I pulled down bedside mode it was set as "Off"....

Do you know what's causing this? It seems like it randomly reboots itself a few times per week.

The Z10 has a known random reboot issue. My device normally reboots between midnight and 2AM, but not every night. I believe you need a new build of the 10.1 software to fix the problem. I was running 10.1.0.2543 (something like that), and experienced no reboots in a week.

As to why the alarm isn't going off?? No clue. Is the alarm indicator on next to your battery after it fails? This might be a bug of the OS build you are on..

I just did a 1MB BB10 applications update and hopefully this corrects the issue. Have the lastest OS build as of now...

After I turned the alarm on manually following the reboot - the alarm indicator is on by the battery icon...

What OS are you running? 10.1.0.2009 and 2354 solved the reboots for me.

Currently I run 10.1.0.273 and I don't use any app for alarm except the bedside mode alarm....

My most important application for active frame is led disco hub. You can imagine that after half a day of "not getting" any emails and sms I was wondering what's wrong before I checked the hub...

Needless to say this is a major issue for the phone...

There is a known issue with the alarm/bedside mode causing the Z10 to reboot.
The Liverpool (STL 100-2) just had this issue resolved with OS 10.1.0.2354. Some carriers has released it and others are performing the technical acceptance test now.

What model do you have?
