    Whenever I change my BBM display picture the quality seems to automatically go down and become worse, anyway to avoid this?

    Unfortunately not. This was actually the first thing I noticed about bbm when I got my z10 back in February. Was looking forward to an HD pic on the big beautiful screen and instead it's slightly blurry. Very annoying. My understanding is that the data is compressed (reducing file size and quality) to alleviate their servers and possibly the carrier networks as well.

    Sounds like legacy BlackBerry to me, not sure why this approach continues with bb10 and xbbm.
