Unavailable for this device. I don't get it. It's installed, yet when I click My World to see my apps for upgrade I see it gives me this message. So confused.

Did you have BBM on another device? Maybe it's showing you an old version? Is BBM actually working?

no i dont. its bizarre, even after the update it shows this when i click my apps through bbworld:

Did you try deleting it and reinstall it. If that doesn't work try a security wipe.

If you are trying to check for an update, just tap the overflow (3 dots) and tap 'check for updates'. You could also delete it from your cloud, then reinstall.

Yea no I've already done the chk updates. Doesn't change a thing. Also can't seem to delete the BBM since it's part of the OS. I'll try a wipe layer. Thanks everyone.

Did you try a phone restart? Had this happen to me as well with other apps, but after the restart the issue was resolved. I thought at the time it was some glitch with BlackBerry World trying to read the version of the app already installed.

I just checked mine and it looks fine, but notice the date on mine. The screen shots I see with the issue have January 30th. Perhaps the version you got was released too early and then pulled.

I also have the problem that I see my BBM contacts when BBM opened, but no bbm contacts shown in the contacts app when BBM contacts is selected

What I don't get, is why you should care, since it's up and running on your device in any case and there's been no updates to it since release in any case...so why are you wasting the time and why are you posting about it? BBM can't be deleted from the device...no. 1st you want to update, then you want to delete it from the device. Make up your mind -

fba, im trying to figure out why i have this bug in the BBM app and if anyone knew about it. apparently im not the only one who has this problem. never said i wanted to update it..just tried to troubleshoot why it says its unavailable for my device since my bbm is wonky. thought being able to delete and reinstall would fix it, but we obviously cant delete that app.

ANYWAY, for those out there with the same problem, wiping the phone didnt help. so dont bother wasting your time trying to fix this issue.
