BB10 Gaming - Z10 vs Q10
I love BB10 and the amazing games we now have in the platform! However, most games are designed for landscape mode (shooters for example).
I wonder what appetite for porting games to the 720x720 resolution that the Q10 has is going to be amongst game publishers. I'm guessing that a lot of the game devs will not bother because users might lose a lot of playability.
Perhaps the Q10 will be the workhorse and the Z10 will be the media superstar.
What are your thoughts?

I dont think the Q10 is going to advertised as a multimedia machine like the Z10 is, mainly because the Z10 has a bigger screen compared to the Q10. Thats not to say that there wont be any games on the Q10, im sure there will be but probably not as many as there is or will be on the Z10.
I will say this though, even though i dont think the Q10 will be advertised as a multimedia machine...it will still be able to do all multimedia functions like the Z10 does but on a smaller screen.

Q10 will be the better work/ email phone I assume but the Z10 may still have advantages in the workplace like excel sheets or other stuff of that kind.

Yeah I agree with your comments guys. I might just have to carry 2 devices around! Lol. My z10 and the Q10 when it arrives.
I'm currently porting my app to 720x720. It's not a game and cascades makes it quite easy for me to port. But for games, they don't use cascades so scaling all their artifacts and probably even reworking the code might be a pain. I believe you guys are correct, there would probably be fewer games available for the Q10.
Perhaps BlackBerry should have kept the same resolution amongst both devices. Perhaps stretched out the screen on the Q10 since there appears to be a lot of dead space above the screen where the bb logo is.
This is moot now though because they didn't do that :)
