    Hi everybody. My z10 is dead. It is not doing anything. it does not start. The led has no light. The only way i got some things happening is when i charge it and have the battery out. When i put my battery back in the continuous led red light closes and it is dead again. I tried connecting to PC but it does not recognize it. Please help.

    Take your battery out of the phone for 15 minutes and put it back in.

    Any responses when you plug it into your PC? If you can get Link to recognise it you could try a firmware restoration.

    nope. link just doesn't see the phone. PC neither. The led turns red for couple of minutes. Thanks

    I think the battery is "dead"... you should buy a new battery

    While plugged in charging; hold the volume up and volume down buttons at the same time. Hopefully your phone will reboot after 30 seconds.

    Have you tried the "The Harder Way - Reload BlackBerry 10 Using Internet Explorer"?

    just tried that. When i hold start button pressed i get a blink from led. that's all. thanks

    Warranty?

    In the OS Leak subforum, download the Autoloader program that matches your device. Remove battery, plug in usb and start the Autoloader. Any reaction? In that same condition, press and hold the POWER button - any reaction? Do you even get an intermittent green led?

    Depends on the user or the luck on dud hardware. I have my Z10 for a entire year. Not dead yet.

    I've had this issue before. There's no solution to it in existence. Basically, your phone is shot. I say if the phone is still "active" on your account and within your 1 year warranty (Verizon USA), you should be able to send back to your carrier for a warranty replacement. Option B (and I hope you have insurance through your carrier), you'll have to file a claim and pay some of your hard earned money for a replacement. Option C, craigslist/ebay.

    side note: I asked if it's still "active" on your account because (with VZW) if the phone isn't showing up underneath your profile info when you call in, it's pure hell getting ANY kind of help and you'll be answering questions about where you purchased the phone and how long you've had it just so they don't have to replace it but can instead sell you one for a fun hefty price. Dealt with this issue with my previous Q10, learnt a HUGE lesson there. NEVER POP YOUR SIM CARD INTO ANOTHER PHONE TO USE AND CALL IMMEDIATELY.

    I'm sitting on a Q10 with a barely visible crack on the LCD....NOT the glass lens or the digitizer....THE LCD. I'll be finding out myself if this is a warranty replacement or insurance claim tomorrow.

    Thus ends my rant.

    Warranty solved my issue, so I got a defective phone at that time.

    Just yesterday my other Z10 (STL100-1) dead, I tried to give a new battery and it started.

    It's not about the carrier, but many people get defective Z10s or Z10s' battery in the practice. Perhaps that is one of the reason people are going away from BlackBerry

    Ok everybody. Thank you for you're support. I've been talking with BB and they do not offer me warranty for my BBz10 because i am an enduser. They only offer warranty to the firm i've bought it from. So BB does not offer warranty for there products they offer to specific commercial traders. That is corporatist way bb ****ed me up. Just for this reason nobody should buy anything from them anymore. (the trader i bought my phone from went bankrupt)
