Hi guys, for the past 3 years, I've been using blackberry Curve 9300. its now very very laggy and no longer comfortable to use. i seen the Z10 price drop and i think that is the only phone i can afford now...
i wonder for you guys who have update your z10 to 10.2.1 how is the phone performance? are there any lag during scrolling etc? I've tried it on the store its running 10.1. smth and its so lag even in settings app scrolling isn't pleasant.
so now I'm asking is it having a smooth animation? transition? scrolling? etc thanks b4
if its smooth i will buy it before febuary. Thanks a lot!

10.2.1 is great. Makes this smartphone into a superphone. You won't have any regrets.

It is smooth, no lag. Have it installed on two Z10s in my household.

That lag in settings back in 10.1 is due to the settings app being written in Adobe AIR. Now the settings app has been rewritten in Cascades. I suggest you get that Z10 since it is within your budget. I have a Z10 and I love it till today. The phone keeps getting better with the updates. I see it as a sort of investment. Get the Z10 after the 10.2.1 after is out this week

Hopefully the performance will increase again with 10.2.1.
I experienced a performance loss on list scrolling on 10.1 and 10.2 in contrast to 10.0.

Z10 is laggy in the calendar, sometimes really bad, on 1295. Other than that I don't notice any real lag. Fyi, my q10 does seem snappier overall.

I agree that the Q10 feels snappier as well!

I have both the Z10 and the Q10. I love the OS and find both of my phones very smooth with no lag. I agree in that I consider the Z a super phone.

You probably not going to believe it until you install it on your z10.

Z10 has a minimal spec compared to elite android devices but in terms of performance, they're almost equal.

Hmm STL-001... I'm not too sure but there are many threads that state that the STL-001 has a battery calibration problem.. I'm on an STL-002 so I'm not too sure.

To be honest, BlackBerry 10 on Z10 STL100-1 is a bit laggy sometimes, I'm not sure though why it acts so. I hardly notice the lags... a bit of an advise from me, don't let it get to your head. The lag is like an illusion that messes up with your head and eventually you'll be annoyed by the phone. As long as the phone is fulfilling your requirements, it shouldn't be a big of a deal. I mean hey, even iOS or Android lags on some of the high end phones sometimes.
