I know this might be a silly question, but I've always used a sat nav in my vehicle.
If I use the native map on my z10, does it use just gps, or will it eat my data?
    Looking at uk and Ireland?
    Cheers

    It's online.
I have not tested but my expherience from the past with similar solutions is a very moderate data consumption.

Yes it uses data, but not all that much. Just make sure you are not roaming.

The amount of data it uses is minimal.

Nav Free is now in BBW. Free off line mapping which will avoid any data consumption at all if that's what u need.

I may have missed it but I searched for "Nav Free" and did not find anything.

By the way, I used Mireo this past week in the desert Southwest where there was NO data service available and it picked up locations and showed maps easily. I still have a heck of a time Searching in it though! Its map sets are not cheap but they were quite accurate.
